ABSTRACTWork engagement is not only a "nice-to-have" but has been shown to be linked to various positive outcomes of work, including its proven financial and behavioural gains. The concern regarding employee engagement is increasing, and organizations of the 21st century are looking for every possible way to develop the culture of employee engagement deliberately. In this context, this research introduces employee engagement as a viable method to encourage organizational productivity and examines how perceptions of specific human resource (HR) practices and organizational identification relate to experiences of employee's work engagement. The study data was collected using standard psychometric tools from 75 mid-level managers working in various organizations. Statistical analysis was performed to answer research questions. The results conveyed the significance of applying encouraging human resource practices and demonstrated the positive effect of organizational identification (OID) on work engagement. HR practices and OID were found instrumental in positively predicting the significant amount of work engagement. By discovering the relationship between HR practices (conditions that organizations can influence easily), organizational identification, and employee engagement, this study relates to the realistic implementation of measures to improve employee engagement and especially emphasises them. AbstractOrganizational commitment is important for overall performance of an organization and wellbeing of its employees. Organisational commitment has gained much importance and it can lead to the positive and favourable outcomes for an organisation like improved employees’ performance, increased organisational effectiveness, decreased employee turnover ratio, increased organisational financial revenues and decreased absenteeism among employees. This study identifies the important organisational factors from prior literature and using a questionnaire survey examines the influence of these factors on the organisational commitment among employees of software industry of Pakistan. Results revealed that all the identified factors except gender affects organisational commitment among the employees of software industry of Pakistan. Recommendations were also made for making the organizational commitment practices and their implementation more vibrant and stronger within an organization based on research results and in relation with prior research studies. A summary table with all the identified factors is presented in this paper for helping other researchers doing research for knowing about different factors that can affect organizational commitment.Keywords: Organizational commitment; software industry; performance; wellbeing; employees-

AbstractThe aim of this study is to introduce the concept of organizational excellence, conceptualised only is 21st Century, in organizational studies and it’s relationship with employee motivation and employee satisfaction in the case of an Indian public sector organization in coal sector. The study is based on primary data collected from 50 sample respondents (i.e. executives) using well-structured questionnaire of Likert type. The cross – sectional Likert scale prepared for each of 50 respondents, as per the respondent’s perceptions revealed towards employee motivation, employee satisfaction and organizational excellence, and used for further statistical analysis. The standard statistical methods like regression, t-test, F-test and Sobal test used for testing the inter – relationships between the variables and testing the presence & significance of mediation effect. Empirical findings confirming significantly positive association between employee motivation, employee satisfaction and organizational excellence and mediation effect of employee satisfaction in explaining the relationship between employee motivation and organizational excellence provides extension in the existing knowledge in the field of organizational studies and fulfils the research gape that existed in the coal sector. The validation of organizational excellence scale in the Indian context may also be considered as a noble attempt in this field. AbstractIn this study, the relationship between income and environmental degradation is discussed. In this study, the Kyoto Protocol is investigated by using Pooled Mean Group Estimator based on Error Correction Model by Pesaran, Shin and Smith, Cross-Sectional Augmented Distributed Lag estimator by Chudik et al. (2016), Cross-Sectional ARDL estimator based on ARDL model by Chudik et al. (2016) and Dynamic Common Correlated Effects Estimator model by Chudik and Pesaran (2015) to cover the gaps in the Environmental Kuznets Curve literature. Kyoto Protocol’s effects for developing countries and developed countries are analyzed for the period between 1980 and 2014, and 1971 and 2014, respectively. Since no significant relationship between GDP and CO2 is found for developed and developing countries in the analysis, it is concluded that Kyoto Protocol did not have a significant effect on CO2 emissions for the relevant countries in the study. This study contributes to the current literature by verifying no significant effect of Kyoto Protocol on CO2 emissions as compatible with most up-to-date studies. Abstract
The organizational success is largely depending on its employees; they are considered as vital assets for any organization. Therefore, the management should know how to appraise them so that they can get the desired results. The current study aims to investigate the impact of performance appraisal on employee’s motivation in an educational institute of Karachi. The population of interest was permanent faculty, visiting faculty and non-teaching staff of the ABC institute which was selected through convenience sampling technique. A survey of 56 employees was conducted with the help of a questionnaire based on close ended items on a 5-point Likert scale ranging from strongly agrees to strongly disagree. For data analysis, SPSS was used to check the reliability test, descriptive statistics and regression analysis. The research findings provided the insights regarding the impact of performance appraisal on employees’ motivation and showed a positive significant impact. The more satisfied employees are by their appraisals, the more motivated and committed they would be. Moreover, the study also shed light for future direction by keeping in view the respondents concern regarding biasness free rating, feedback and appeal process. The educational institutes should come up with better strategies in order to build trust among employees by providing fair appraisal solely based on their performance.Keywords: Performance appraisal, Employee’s motivation, Work performance, Educational sector.-
Social Media and The COVID-19 Response: A Case Study of Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) in New Zealand

AbstractCOVID-19 pandemic is spreading across the globe, causing huge losses to humans and changing people’s lifestyles. New Zealand has also suffered from this fatal virus outbreak. Social media has been used by governments from many countries for communication about COVID-19, but the research on social media used in COVID-19 remains limited. This research aims to study how the leading New Zealand business agency, the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE), used Facebook to disseminate COVID-19, and how businesses and the public benefitted from it. Facebook posts from MBIE published over two months from March 18, 2020, to May 12, 2020, as well as user reviews were collected and thematically analysed. Before the research was conducted, an Official Information Act request was submitted to MBIE and an approval confirmation was received for using any publicly available information released by MBIE. The findings indicate Facebook was used by MBIE as a comprehensive channel to address COVID-19, as well as being an avenue to interact with businesses and people, and businesses and people benefitted from it in multiple aspects.Keywords: COVID-19; Facebook; MBIE; social media; business, New Zealand

Examining the Relationship between Consumer Brand Relationships and Brand Evangelism

Abstract
It is a well-known fact now that consumers falsify profound and meaningful relationships with particular brands and that such consumer brand relationships are expected to impact brand-related behavior of consumers. The study investigates the influence of three consumer-brand relational constructs - brand trust, brand affect and brand identification – and their effects on brand evangelism behavior, which was operationalized in the form of two supportive behaviors namely; purchase intentions and positive referrals. After assessing common method bias as well as reliability and validity estimates, structural equation modelling was employed with 458 sample data to test the study model fit and hypothesized relationships. The findings reveal that the consumer-brand relationship influences brand evangelism. All consumer-brand relational constructs (i.e., brand trust, brand affect and brand identification) influence brand evangelism positively in terms of purchase intention and brand referral. The study highlights the importance of brand evangelism in the marketing literature by establishing its causal relationships with the key brand attributes of brand affect, brand trust and brand evangelism. Implications of the results are deliberated with future scope for research.

AbstractThe tourism industry in the Middle East plays a critical role in maintaining and energizing countries' economic status. It has a major element in facing numerous human capital obstacles that are deepening its development. This paper seeks to explore how the enhancement of human capital in a travel agency can have a significant positive impact on its performance, by studying the importance and consequences of the enhancement of human capital to improve specifically a travel agency's performance. This research aims to identify and remedy the delinquencies in the enterprise’s human capital that are obstructing its growth performance. We utilized the socio-economic methodology, which is a mix of qualitative, quantitative, and financial approaches, to remediate the organizational transition from within the travel agency at all stages and with the participation of all the members in the enterprise. The research study focuses on human capital dimensions across metrics for maximizing performance effectiveness that endorsed our hypothesis: “Enhancement of human capital improves travel agency firm’s performance”. The results of this intervention research add to the literature of the human capital variable of intellectual capital theory, which previous authors did not explore, by providing considerable contributions to the field of intellectual capital in a specific set of metrics. Do Institutional Characteristics of Microfinance Institutions Matter for External Sources of Funds? Evidence from Bangladesh

AbstractThis study mainly aims to examine whether the institutional characteristics matter for external sources of funds of microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Bangladesh considering unbalanced panel data of 258 MFIs for the period of 2009-2014. The study considers four institutional characteristics of MFIs, namely, the number of branches, profitability measured by return on assets, location, and age of MFIs as well as several macroeconomic variables such as interest rate cap, economic growth, and inflation. The external sources of funds are decomposed into five sub-panels, that is, government funds, loans from commercial banks, loans from Palli Karma Sahayak Foundation, donors' funds, and loans from other MFIs in order to draw more conclusive evidence. It also helps provide a comparative analysis on the effects of each institutional characteristic of MFIs on different types of external sources of funds. The study employs the Poisson pseudo maximum likelihood method which is supposed to be more appropriate in the present case for avoiding the problem associated with zero value of dependent variable. The estimation results suggest that institutional characteristics of the MFIs contribute considerably in supporting the growth and development of the industry by drawing funds from external financial sources albeit some indicators of institutional characteristics refer to adverse impact on a few external sources of funds. In the case of macroeconomic factors, market intervention through the interest rate cap limits the operation of microfinance institutions making funds scarce for them. Additionally, the comparative analysis of alternative funding both from the debt and equity sources will help policymakers and managers to adopt an appropriate policy to attain the cost-effectiveness of MFIs of Bangladesh which is one of the important policy implications of the study.Keywords: Microfinance institutions, institutional characteristics, Poisson pseudo maximum likelihood estimation approach, Bangladesh-

Abstract
This research aims at determining the present position, customer satisfaction, fraudulence practice and protective remedies in the COVID-19 pandemic situation. The primary data is collected from commercial port city Chattogram in Bangladesh during June, 2021 to July, 2021 by survey questionnaire method from 120 respondents of systematic random sampling in randomized block design. Descriptive statistics, Chi-Square test, Mann-Whitney Test and Kruskal-Wallis test methods are used to verify data and test the hypothesis. The study shows, there is no relation between product purchase with during and before COVID-19 period. But there is a relation between payment methods with COVID-19 period, which shows mobile banking (bKash / Nagad / Rocket) is increases in E-commerce transaction during COVID-19 period. The survey result shows female has significantly higher satisfaction in online transaction than male. Also the lower age group (25 or less years) and lower education level (HSC) are significantly more satisfied than higher age group and education. The customers are significantly much satisfied during the COVID-19 pandemic situation than the before COVID-19 period, as the E-commerce system is most convenient system in the situation. The result shows there is no effect of fraudulence practice on gender, age group and education level in the E-commerce in Bangladesh. But the online fraudulence practice increases during the COVID-19 period from before COVID-19 period, specially no refund after returning product fraudulence arise, which didn’t exist before the pandemic situation and not getting delivery fraudulence is increased in the pandemic situation. It is observed that most of the customers do not take any action against E-commerce fraudulence. So, awareness program may be conducted with the E-commerce customers about the rules and regulations and Government should take action against fraudulence to recovery the customer loss and stop the fraudulence practice to create an excellent E-commerce environment. As a result, the present E-commerce market will increase gradually as a safe online market place with full customer satisfaction in the society during the COVID-19 pandemic situation in Bangladesh.Keywords: COVID-19, E-commerce, Fraudulence, Remedies, Customer Satisfaction
